The Tanzania Immigration Services website began issuing Tanzania e-visas (e-visa Tanzania) in November 2018. This type of visa is only available online. Tanzania issues e-visas to citizens of 90 countries to enter Tanzania for purposes such as tourism, commercial investment, visiting relatives, working, transit and so on.

Tanzania visa requirements for Russian citizens.

There are a number of Tanzanian visa requirements for Russian citizens, one of which is that the applicant selects the type of visa they will require for their stay. The following visas are available:

• A single-entry tourist e-Visa: that allows the traveler a 3-month consecutive stay in the country for a holiday, short-term health treatment, or other activities permitted by Tanzanian law.
• A multiple-entry Tanzania tourist e-Visa for Russians: is designed for those who visit Tanzania frequently. This visa is valid for 12 months and allows travelers to stay in Tanzania for a maximum of three months in a row. To be eligible for this visa, the applicant must be invited by a Tanzanian citizen and provide a variety of supporting documentation.
• A transit visa to Tanzania is available for travelers who plan to take a short trip or stay for no more than 7 days while transiting to another destination. This type of e-Visa can not be extended.
• A Tanzania business e-Visa is available to professionals planning to visit Tanzania in order to invest in Tanzanian businesses.
