The Tanzania Embassy in Ankara provides or facilitates a range of diplomatic and consular services, including:

- Passport assistance: Provides guidance to Tanzanian citizens on passport-related matters and replacement procedures.
- Emergency travel documents: Assists eligible Tanzanian nationals requiring emergency travel documentation.
- Document legalization: Legalizes eligible documents, including certain birth, death, educational, marriage, and other official documents.
- Consular assistance: Supports Tanzanian citizens living or traveling in Türkiye.
- Citizen registration: Facilitates registration of Tanzanian nationals and students residing abroad.
- Permit information: Provides guidance concerning residence, work, media, and other relevant permits for Tanzania.
- Diplomatic and commercial support: Promotes cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, education, culture, and other areas of mutual interest.
Tanzania–Türkiye relations
The embassy of Tanzania in Ankara began operations in February 2017 and plays an important role in strengthening diplomatic relations between Tanzania and Türkiye. Türkiye also maintains an Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The two countries cooperate in areas including trade, investment, education, tourism, and diplomatic relations. Tanzania and Türkiye have also continued high-level bilateral engagement, including the Tanzanian President’s official visit to Türkiye in April 2024.
