How long is a Tanzania visa good for?
A Tanzania eVisa may be good for up to 1 year from the arrival date. An eVisa (or an electronic visa) is issued by the Immigration Services Department to facilitate visa processing. Until now, there are 154 nations eligible for a Tanzania eVisa, meaning their citizens can take advantage of this visa to enter Tanzania legally.
Depending on the type of visa, there may be a validity difference among the 04 types of Tanzania eVisa.
- Tourist e-Visa (single entry): is valid for 03 months from the arrival date. Holders of this visa can stay in the country for up to 90 days (3 months) for a single entry.
- Tourist e-Visa (multiple entries): This visa has a validity of up to 12 months. The total staying time is up to 12 months, with a continuous stay not exceeding 03 months.
- Tanzania business e-Visa: The Business Visa to Tanzania is available for professionals working temporarily in Tanzania or for anyone planning to invest in a Tanzanian company. This visa is valid for 90 days on a single entry.
- Tanzania Transit e-Visa: The Tanzania Transit Visa is granted to travelers who plan to transit through Tanzania and stay there for at most 07 days. This visa has the shortest validity, only 07 days from the arrival date.
