How will I receive the Tanzania e-Visa?

The United Republic of Tanzania launched the Tanzania e-Visa System in November 2018 to speed up the visa application process and reduce the number of applicants at the Embassies. Travelers can use an eVisa to enter Zanzibar and Tanzania Mainland to participate in tourist activities, engage in short-term business in Tanzania, or simply transit through this country en route to other destinations.

To apply for a Tanzania eVisa, tourists should visit the Tanzania Immigration Services website and follow our comprehensive instructions. This is the fastest way to obtain a visa to visit Tanzania, compared to the traditional way (apply for a visa at the Embassy or the Consulate). The 3-simple process is as below:

Step 1: Fill in the application form with some necessary information: Personal data (full name, address, birth date, and nationality), passport number, and arrival and departure date.
Step 2: Pay the Tanzania eVisa application fee and send us some supporting documents.
Step 3: You will receive an email containing the Tanzania eVisa in PDF format. Before departing for your Tanzania trip, remember to print out at least 02 copies of your eVisa.
