How to get to Zanzibar from Arusha?

There are two ways to go from Arusha to Zanzibar: the first is to take a direct flight to Zanzibar, and the second is to take a cab from Arusha to Dar es Salaam and then board a ferry to Zanzibar.

A direct flight from Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport to Zanzibar Airport is the best method to go to Zanzibar from Arusha. Arriving at Zanzibar Airport takes 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Zanzibar is well-known for its beautiful beaches. Travelers may enjoy a variety of fascinating and daring activities at beaches such as Paje and Nungwi. These outdoor activities include boat excursions, swimming, scuba diving, kiteboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and even quad bike rides!

  • Ticket

  • If you are from a nation where yellow fever is prevalent, you must obtain a yellow fever certificate; learn more.

  • If you are currently in Tanzania, you do not need to apply for another VISA to travel to Zanzibar.
