How much does a Tanzanian passport cost?

A Tanzania passport costs 90 USD in total. Tanzania passport holders can apply for a Tanzania passport through Embassies by filling out the application form online. The application fee of 15 USD, and the passport fee of 75 USD. However, if the applicant has lost their passport and applies as a lost case, the fee increases to 265 USD. It is essential for applicants to ensure they have all the required documents and apply for the correct type of passport before making payment. 

A passport is a document issued by the Tanzanian government to its citizens who intend to travel outside the country for various purposes. The Tanzania government offers different categories of passports and travel documents in accordance with the regulations outlined in the Tanzania Passports and other Travel documents Cap 42 of 2002 and its 2004 Regulations. Tanzanian citizens can apply for the following passport: 

• An ordinary passport: This passport is issued to any citizen of the United Republic of Tanzania for a purpose of traveling to a foreign country. The provided passport has a validity of ten years and is suitable for travel to all nations.

• A service passport: This passport is issued to any citizen of the United Republic of Tanzania who is in the public service or is holding office as respectively specified

• A Diplomatic passport

• An East African Passport: This passport is solely issued to Tanzanian citizens who wish to travel within the East African countries.
