How far in advance can you apply for a Tanzania visa?
We urge that you submit at least seven days before your departure date to allow for processing and receipt of your visa.
The processing period for a Tanzania visa varies based on the type of visa you apply for and the workload of the Tanzanian embassy or consulate. However, most visas are completed within 1 to 3 working days.
If you are applying for a Tanzania e-Visa, you can apply online and receive your visa within a few days.
Here are the steps on how to apply for a Tanzania visa:
- Step 1: Enter your basic information, such as your name, passport number, and trip dates. Then, choose the processing time that best meets your needs (additional information is provided below).
- Step 2: Go through all of the information you supplied, double-check its accuracy, and pay the Tanzania eVisa fees with a valid credit or debit card.
- Step 3: Send us any required supporting papers, fill out any additional information, and submit your application!
Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email confirmation of your visa status. If your visa is approved, you will be able to download your visa or print it out.
