Do Irish citizens need visas for Tanzania?
Irish citizens must hold a Tanzanian visa to enter the country. Depending on the purpose and duration of their trip passport holders from Ireland may be able to apply for an eVisa for Tanzania.
Tanzanian tourist visas with a single entry enable visitors to stay for up to 90 days from the arrival date. The visa is valid for three months once accepted, with the 90-day stay commencing on the day of arrival into Tanzania.
For travel to Tanzania from Ireland for more than 30 days or reasons other than tourism, a different type of visa is required.
Before traveling, Irish travelers should apply for a visa online. Applicants must only fill out an electronic form and pay the e-Visa costs. They are emailed the approved Tanzania eVisa.
Tanzania eVisa processing is quick; most Irish applications are accepted in 1 to 3 business days.
