Do Australian citizens need a visa for Tanzania?
If you are an Australian citizen wanting to visit Tanzania for tourist, conference attendance, or business, you should be aware that you will require a visa to enter the country. Since the launch of the eVisa procedure in 2018, this has gotten significantly easier. At Tanzanian Immigration Services, we has simplified the formerly complex procedure and implemented a simple online application form that allows you to apply for a Tanzania visa from Australia.
The first step is to select the appropriate type of visa for Tanzania, as visa term varies based on the reason for trip. The following visas are available:
- A single-entry tourist visa is valid for any person visiting Tanzania for vacation or for short-term medical treatment for up to three months.
- A multiple-entry Tanzania tourist visa is for any person who has to visit the nation on several occasions, generally for leisure or family reasons. This multiple-entry visa is valid for one year from the date of issuing, and you can stay for three months per entry.
- A Tanzania transit visa is for visitors who are staying in the country for a short period of time, generally on their route to another location, and enables stays of up to 7 days.
- A Tanzania business visa —This is meant for business visitors who are holding meetings and investing in the country, as well as professionals who are temporarily seconded to overseas projects or visiting academics. It is valid for three months fromm arrival date with single entry.
